1. What is the right of withdrawal?
The right of withdrawal (sometimes called "cooling-off period") allows consumers to cancel a distance contract within 14 calendar days of its conclusion, without giving any reason and without incurring penalties.
From 19 June 2026, Legislative Decree no. 209 of 31 December 2025 β implementing EU Directive 2023/2673 β introduced Art. 54-bis into the Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005), extending these protections to subscriptions and digital service packages with a value exceeding β¬50.
