1. What is the right of withdrawal?

The right of withdrawal (sometimes called "cooling-off period") allows consumers to cancel a distance contract within 14 calendar days of its conclusion, without giving any reason and without incurring penalties.

From 19 June 2026, Legislative Decree no. 209 of 31 December 2025 β€” implementing EU Directive 2023/2673 β€” introduced Art. 54-bis into the Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005), extending these protections to subscriptions and digital service packages with a value exceeding €50.

WikiCibo fully recognises and applies this right. If you have subscribed to a paid plan and meet the conditions below, you can withdraw within 14 days without penalty and receive a full refund.

2. Conditions for exercising the right

2.1 Who can exercise it?

The right of withdrawal applies to natural persons or legal entities acting as consumers (i.e. outside a professional or business activity) who have subscribed to a paid WikiCibo plan.

2.2 Minimum amount threshold

Pursuant to Art. 54-bis of the Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal applies exclusively to purchases exceeding €50 (fifty euros). Transactions equal to or below this amount are excluded from the scope of the provision.

2.3 Deadline

The withdrawal must be exercised within 14 calendar days of the date of subscription (i.e. the date payment is confirmed). After this period, the right lapses.

  • The 14-day period runs from the date of payment confirmation
  • The period includes weekends and public holidays
  • Submitting the form before midnight on the 14th day is sufficient
  • After 14 days, no withdrawal right can be exercised

2.4 Exclusions

  • Plans with a value of €50 or less
  • Orders already being processed for renewal (the withdrawal only applies to the initial subscription)
  • Plans for which a withdrawal request has already been submitted
  • Plans that have expired or been cancelled

3. How to exercise the right

You can exercise the right of withdrawal through two channels:

3.1 Online form (recommended)

Use the form at the bottom of this page. Enter your account email and the order code (visible in your dashboard under Billing β†’ Payment history, or in the purchase confirmation email). The system will verify eligibility and allow you to confirm the withdrawal with one click.

3.2 Written communication

You may also send an explicit written withdrawal notice to info@wikicibo.com with the subject "Withdrawal β€” Order [code]", indicating the order code and the date of purchase. The notice must be sent before the 14th day.

We recommend the online form: it is immediate and you will receive automatic confirmation by email.

4. Effects and refund

Upon receipt of your withdrawal notice, WikiCibo will:

  • Confirm receipt of the request by email within 24–48 business hours
  • Deactivate the paid plan and downgrade the account to the Free tier
  • Process the full refund within 14 days of confirming the withdrawal
  • Issue a credit note or cancellation invoice as required by law

4.1 Refund method

The refund will be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase (credit/debit card, PayPal, Satispay or bank transfer). For bank transfers, you will be asked to provide your IBAN. The refund is not subject to any commission or deduction.

Following exercise of the withdrawal right and deactivation of the plan, editorial visibility, verified badge and premium features will be immediately suspended. Content already published on the platform will remain visible in its base free version.
